Ostrakon

Find a unique pottery fragment (ostrakon in Greek) and learn about ostracism in ancient Athens. The kit contains a fragment from an Attic black glazed pot engraved with the name of a famous Athenian statesman (Aristides, Themistocles, Kimon, Pericles), other artifacts and sea shells embedded (buried) in a mixture of gypsum, clay and sand.
