This is the first guidebook to the collection of antiquities of the prehistoric Aegean housed in the Ashmolean Museum of the University of Oxford, which includes over 10,000 objects from the Cyclades, Minoan Crete and Mycenaean Greece. The most important Aegean collection outside Greece was formed mainly by Sir Arthur Evans (1851-1941).
