Can you guess the figure depicted? Achilles ambushing Troilus son of Priamos, detail from a Laconian black figure dinos, 560-540 BC, attributed to “Rider” Painter (Collection of the Louvre Museum, Paris).
The kit contains fragments of a black figured pinax, other sherds and sea shells buried in a mixture of gypsum, clay and sand. It also contains a safe wooden digging tool, a small toothbrush, and a protective dust mask for excavation; a magnetic plate with self adhesive tape to mount the puzzle, a cardboard mount as well as instructions and information material on the object discovered.
The ceramic toys by THETIS/ Attic Black Studio are wheel-thrown and hand-painted prior to firing. As they do not contain any toxic substances or especially small parts, they are safe to be used by children, preferably under adult supervision due to the possibility of breakage. Τhey are available in collections for boys and girls blending at least four objects of the above.
